There were all kinds of changes.
Toto became a cow named Imogene.
The producer added all kinds
of secondary characters
that had nothing to do with
the original children's book.
And Dorothy became a teenager
who falls in and out of love
throughout the play.
NARRATION :
In the musical, Dorothy and Imogene
were blown to Oz along with
a waitress from Topeka
named Trixie Tryfle,
the Cowardly Lion was turned into a bit part
and The Wicked Witch of the West
was removed from the story.
