Myths About Socialism - Damn Commies Will Take Our Guns

When a popular revolution originates from the people, as in the cases of  Vietnam, Libya and Syria, it is the moral duty of free people to stand behind those demanding to be free in their struggle against counter-revolutionary attack by their oppressors.

And that involves lending them some guns.

And it's very liberal and very democratic. Franklin Roosevelt did it, after all...

"History shows that wars are divided into two kinds, just and unjust.

All wars that are progressive are just, and all wars that impede progress are unjust.

The way to oppose a war of this kind is to do everything possible to prevent it before it breaks out and, once it breaks out, to oppose war with war, to oppose unjust war with just war, whenever possible."

Alex Jones is a CIA Disinformation Conduit : Documented.

VERY Important story: InfoWars has a "former" Stratfor/CIA-front staffer employed as a "researcher".

Confirmed, proven, documented. And officially denied by AJ, who disavows all knowledge.

Alex Jones is a conduit for disinformation from the US intelligence community, furthering the causes of the military industrial complex and global arms manufacturers by mobilising ordinary people to fight against their own interest to further their corporate bottom line.

AJ may have always been an intelligence asset, he may have been corrupted, compromised or blackmailed or he may just be a useful idiot whose right-wing biases make him laughably gullible and exploitable.

I've been saying this forever: huge elements of his far-right ranting are blatantly and verifiably untrue, in particular all the bullshit about the UN Small Arms Treaty being a threat to the Second Ammedment and private gun ownership which is, if you have ever read the US Constitution or know anything about the UN or how International multilateral treaties work or where they apply - they do not over-ride domestic laws or the Constituions signatory nations.

The UN Small Arms Treaty has no impact whatsoever on personal or individual rights to gun ownership and makes absolutely no reference to them, even if it had the power to enforce any changes, which it doesn't.

It DOES threaten corporations who's share price and annual turnover is largely dependent on the manufacture, sale and export of guns, ammo and other weapons systems to (exact quote from the treaty) "known human rights abusers".

The UN Treaty merely suggests, in plain language, that this is not a good thing and recommends that national governments work together to try to stop it happening so much in future.

Since before Theatre 8 in Aurora, AJ and InforWars have been aggressively astroturfing for the other side of the arguement.

http://hatrickpenry.wordpress.com/2012/12/08/a-case-study-in-disinformation-infowars-responds-to-molly-gate/

Also: Alex's chief sponsor, by the way, is Natural News.

Natural News is owned by "Former" Army/CIA Head of Psychological Warfare (and author of "The Mind War") General Albert Stubblebine.

So, InfoWars is almost entirely funded, gets it's whole operating budget from a company owned by a CIA General who PERSONALLY crafted their entire modern (and current) PsyOps doctrine.

But Cesar is an honourable man. And it's unthinkable that AJ could EVER be corrupted, used or subject to undue influence as a result of that relationship. Don't be absurd.

Whereas, AJ is quite happy to freely and repeatedly assert that because President Obama spent much of his childhood growing up in the Philippines in an English Language school his mother emigrated to teach at, at a time when CIA were paying special attention to Suharto's military rule and their anti-Communist efforts, Barack HAS to be CIA. And a closet Communist.

Really. Seriously, that doesn't make a lick of sense.

A childhood CIA anti-communist agitator who grew up to be a committed revolutionary Marxist Muslim infiltrator running Jihadist Soviet cell inside the Oval Office...?

Because Marxism, Fascist Anti-Communism and Militant Islamism are all totally compatible and complementary political ideologies.

Just for the record, Alex, Thomas Jefferson wasn't a Natural Born US citizen when he was President, either; and he intervened and went to war in Libya without first informing Congress, either.

In fact, verifiably, the first 8 US Presidents, up to and including Martin Van Burren were none of them Natural Born US citizens; how could they possibly be? There was no United States in existence prior to 1776, and the Declaration of Independence certainly was not retroactive.

They were all Natural Born Subjects of the British Crown, so was everyone who lived there.
All of them (well, give or take).

That's actually not quite true, because prior to the passage of the Thirteenth Amendment, no one actually knew or could firmly define exactly who was and was not a US citizen; to this day, there is still no legal definition of what a "Natural Born" citizen might be, rendering the use of the term in Article 1 completely meaningless.

There was, however, general consensus prior to 1865 that *whatever* it meant to be a Natural Born Citizen of the United States, Barack Obama most certainly did not qualify.

You just had to take one look at him to know that.

Which remains the key crux of all this race-baiting hysteria to this day, unfortunately....

Muslim Brotherhood = Pro-Business Authentic Islamism = Pro-People, anti-poverty and suffering.

This tells you pretty much everything you need to know about how the world today currently works.

The Muslim Brotherhood may believe in slicing off women's clitorises to keep them from having "impure thoughts", but they are passionate about Free Markets, unconstrained pure undulterated capitalism, weak government and unregulated capital.

Which is why they get all that Koch money and are in partnership with Karl Rove, Grover Norquest (who is a Mulsim) and the rest of the American Taliban.

Who is Responsible for False Flag Mass Shootings?: An Exercise in Critical Thinking.

This is a quote from a more-than-averagely perceptive contributor comment on a conservative-leaning message board:

"A friend informed me last week he and his wife went to purchase for first time a couple of weapons (including an AR-15), the Store was crowded when they arrived and stayed crowded, customers included two uniformed police officers buying assault rifles for their home use, which to me speaks volumes.

There are estimated to be 80 million gun owners in the US, mostly conservative (regardless of political affiliation), largely farmers, hunters and/or veterans, mostly now VERY unhappy with the state of affairs in the country, only lack a focus and organizing principle.

If enough of them find those things, politicos need to watch out or change quickly."

That organising principle will be Fascism.

So tell me. Who is responsible for all the mass shootings?

The President who wants to maintain the social safety net, not start any new wars and ensure universal healthcare to even the poorest in society?

Or his enemies? The ones who manufacture tanks, guns, billion-dollar integrated air defence systems and pump oil out of sandy countries populated by non-white non-Christians?

Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition.

Petraeus Has ‘Expressed Long-Term Interest’ In Running For President

Petraeus Has ‘Expressed Long-Term Interest’ In Running For President: pAccording to a senior Iraqi officer who knew Gen. David Petraeus when he was stationed in Baghdad from 2004-2005, Petraeus is interested in running for President. From The Independent today: The US commander in Iraq, General David Petraeus, expressed long-term interest in running for the US presidency when he was stationed in Baghdad, according to [...]/p

"At Ft. The assault on the Benghazi compound was led by a Yemeni national and member of "Al-Qaeda" in the Arabian Peninsular - a false flag brigade of US Intelliegence assets and Mossad-trained sh*t stirrers who kill for money and have no religious devotions whatsoever. We know this because they filmed themseleves doing it and CNN was airing footage of an attack led by a man speaking Arabic with a strong Yemeni accent 4 hrs after it started, before Hilary Clinton ever mentioned a YouTube video and before the SECOND attack on the CIA Security Annex even began, while CIA Officers Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods were still alive.

These core 27 Yemenis comprising this new "Al-Qaeda" group are led by the USS Cole mastermind (released from Gitmo  after a military tribunal sentenced him to 4 years, time served - he would have done 12 years mandatory minimum in a civiilian trial - and 27 other extremists who were let out by the Yemeni government, who claim they "dug a tunnel" out of the prison.

In a PDF report they “misplaced,” we gleaned the following rather shocking information:

Hasan served with these individuals. Why was he meeting these people?

Major Hasan was briefed by these individuals:

"When he went off to Arizona, and that white woman, the Governor, shook her finger in his face...?

Well, if you're the head of this State, and there's a whole lottsa people who would die for you in the National Guard, then is there somebody up there on the roof...?

I'm takin' my lead from you, yo' the Governor, you're the Head of the National Guard...

And yo' leader she her fist in my face...?

An' the people around him let him keep going...?

Like it's Business as Usual...?

...or is it different protocol for a negro President...?

Huh?"

The Economics of the Perpetual War Economy: "We have been compelled to create a permanent arms industry of VAST proportions..."

Oceania has NOT always been at war with Eastasia...

"Once when he happened in some connexion to mention the war against Eurasia, she startled him by saying casually that in her opinion the war was not happening.

The rocket bombs which fell daily on London were probably fired by the Government of Oceania itself, 'just to keep people frightened'.

This was an idea that had literally never occurred to him."

At this moment, for example, in 1984 (if it was 1984), Oceania was at war with Eurasia and in alliance with Eastasia. In no public or private utterance was it ever admitted that the three powers had at any time been grouped along different lines.

Actually, as Winston well knew, it was only four years since Oceania had been at war with Eastasia and in alliance with Eurasia.

But that was merely a piece of furtive knowledge, which he happened to possess because his memory was not satisfactorily under control.

Officially the change of partners had never happened. Oceania was at war with Eurasia: therefore Oceania had always been at war with Eurasia.

The enemy of the moment always represented absolute evil, and it followed that any past or future agreement with him was impossible. "

"For as long as Winston can recall, Oceania has been in a constant state of war – with whom it was at war is of neither importance nor consequence."

Just Another Conspiracy Theory

Question: Who Killed Abraham Lincoln?

"Abraham Lincoln had been murdered by artists.

Lincoln's election to the Presidency by the abolitionists had been the signal for the start of the Civil War.

He was the first President to proclaim a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Like Kennedy, he read Shakespeare, and he took long rides in the country, where he could dream far from the sounds of men. To a passing stranger he said, "If you have no friend, I will be your friend."

Even Karl Marx eulogized him.

Before the outbreak of the Civil War, there was a plot to kill Lincoln in Baltimore. He was warned by Pinkerton, however, and saved his life by crossing the town at night.

Afterwards, the New York Times wrote: "This plot was hatched by politicians, backed by bankers, and it was to be carried out by a group of adventurers."

On January 31, 1865, slavery was abolished. On April 14, Lincoln was assassinated at Ford's Theatre in Washington.

The "assassin," John Wilkes Booth, was trapped and shot in a barn.

Colonel Baker tore 18 pages out of a notebook he was carrying.

Nevertheless, there was a trial, and the prosecutor, Bingham, proved that Jefferson Davis, the President of the Confederacy, was behind the assassination.

Eight accomplices were condemned, and four of them were hanged.

Jacob Thompson, the representative of the Confederacy in Canada, had deposited a large sum of money in Booth's account at the Bank of Ontario in Montreal.

But Booth and his accomplices were only the executants. The men behind the plot went free.

Lincoln was succeeded by Vice President Andrew Johnson, who, on Christmas Day, 1886, proclaimed an amnesty and complete pardon.

The war that Lincoln had tried to avoid was over before his death.

He was killed out of vengeance. But it was an era when men killed for spite and made little attempt to hide it.

An Alabama newspaper had taken up a collection to cover the cost of the assassination, and a Confederate officer had volunteered for the job.

In those days of the Old Frontier, there were volunteers for all sorts of causes.

Men then were driven by their emotions."

These men do not exist. And never did. And if you are silly enough to believe that they might have, then you are a batshit crazy conspiracy theorist, because this conspiracy never happened, and these men were never tried and hung for participating in it.

Lincoln's murder was what is now known as a "decapitation strike" conducted against an enemy Head of State, and in the modern context it is assumed by default the US Secret Service (created, coincidentally, by Lincoln in his final presidential act before leaving to dress for Ford's Theatre that fateful evening) and the US and world Intelligence Community to be the prima face motive for any assassination attempt, failed or successful on the person of the President in the absence of information to the contrary.

Not a lone nut.

In March of 1981 for instance, when a Devastator bullet collapsed Ronald Reagan's lung, the first assumption was that there might likely be a connection to the escalating Polish Solidarity crisis and the hardline reaction being adopted by the Politburo in response, applying vigourous pressure on the Polish Communist Party to enact a swift and harsh crackdown, else they should step in and do it for them.

And the recent elevation to the Papacy of the first non-Italian Pope in 500 years, a Polish former employee of I.G. Farben at Auschwitz closely aligned with the Right Wing Conservative North Eastern US Establishment, the crypto-Catholic wing of the CIA (embodied by the Dulles dynasty, the Buckley clan and the likes of William Colby, Bill Cassey and other Knights of Malta), as well as the Reinhardt Gehlen Organisation and the Boorman Capital Group did not go unnoticed either by Moscow.

The Lincoln conspirators were tried and convicted by military tribunal, convened by order of the Secretary of War and empowered and enacted by a consensus of majority (although not unanimous) support within both the portions of the US Government then-functional and those portions of the electorate and US citizenry who were loyal and at that time not engaged in active revolt and rebellion.

They had been robbed of their legally designated Head of State, their electorally mandated leader, their lawfully empowered Commander in Chief by an act of war.

Had the original question posed been instead:

Question: Who shot Abraham Lincoln?

We might quite confidently and accurately say,

Answer: John Wilkes Booth.

But that was not the question asked.

The question was:

Question: Who Killed Abraham Lincoln?

Short Answer: The Confederate States of America.

Detailed Answer: A stay-behind guerilla unit of the Confederacy, acting on orders from Richmond. A deep-cover cell of infiltrationist irregulars, in rebellion against the Government of the United States, a self-proclaimed sovereign nation and foreign power turned failed-state, just dealt a final crushing military defeat on the battlefield and then currently in the process of abandoning general headquarters in their capital, disappearing off in to the hills and going to ground in the countryside, pledging vengeance and demanding satisfaction for the long insult to their Southern Honour and Dixie pride.

The Third Reich was never defeated, merely displaced and forced to go underground, into exile and into hiding until the fuss died down and the Cold War went hot.

Such as it was with the Southern Slave Power Conspiracy and the legacy of White Supremecist King Cotton ideology.

Whipped, beaten, but unabashed, they fled the field of battle clutching their cashboxes close to their chests and vowed :

Since no-one else will say it today, I will.

If you have police with M-16s attending a school and expecting to shoot someone dead on arrival when you get there, and you think that's all proceeds perfectly logically in your mind...

You have ALREADY lost, a very long time ago..

And your enemies are laughing at you, watch you flounder and thrash around for answers or restitution cum retribution, like a freshly landed carp dropped into the bottom of a wooden dingy by some sadistic, unseen, celestial angler.

Here is your answer: Vivre la revolution.

Be subject to those around you and beholden to one another.

Be excellent to one another.

AND...

Party on, dudes.

That is all.

The Three Mark Chapmans

The deployment of ARTICHOKE assassins usually occurs in pairs with staged acts of public weird behaviour in the days and weeks before to produce memorable reports of someone resembling the suspect "behaving strangely".

For this reason, ARTICHOKE shooters released into the wild are usually accompanied by doubles or people of similar physical appearance and dress who often dress very similarly as well.

This confusion and subterfuge is deliberate - if anyone sees or clearly remembers the purported perpetrator doing something or being somewhere or seen with some one or other parties, it was a simple case of mistaken identity.

For instance, nearly every time reputed angry lone wolf bomber Timothy McVeigh had been spotted or sighted, or in some instances caught on tape, he was always with other people in tightl -knit group of people.

Timmy was never alone, there were loads of people always around when he was in town, laughing, joking or flirting with the strippers while getting full friction.

He had buddies, a regular crew for Team Timmy - some were Germans, some were Arabs, some dressed like cowboys or Good Ole Boys, some of them were seen walking up am down the Murrah building sub-parking garage, measuring things and planting splodges of gery putty with wires hanging out of the sides against the sides of the core support columns. Some people assumed that meant they were with the phone company.

Some of them looked almost exactly like JohnDoe Number 2, which is obviously absurd, seeing as how it turns out he never existed.

Some people never forget a face. And certainly who could ever forget Timmy's face.

But no, all those people were mistaken all of those times, since that couldn't have been Tim McVeigh. Because, Tim McVeigh was a loner, as we all know.

Who had a friend who he asked to help him build the bomb with just that one time, but otherwise, completely kept to himself at all times.

Clearly all those people were mistaken. They didn't see Tim McVeigh at all, just someone who looked like him.

Possibly Odo from Star Trek : Deep Space Nine, who knows?

#Benghazi-hole: The WHOLE Truth: Direct From the Sperpent's Mouth

This one is the single most important one of all. This is how truly arrogant these fascist bastards are. Listen VERY carefully...

95% of the scenario that Glen Beck unfolds is 100% true.

It even had me fooled for around 2 weeks - nearly every fact, about the botched kidnapping, the Blind Sheik, the meeting witht Turkey, the CIA weapons transfer to Syria via the Turkish freighter in Benghazi, all of it. It's all true. Most of it classified, but all verifiable from numerous independant sources.

It's ALL true, ALL of it. EXCEPT:

Beck claims Obama masterminded this as a popularity ploy to win the election; in reality, General Patreus masterminded it to overthrow elected government, steal an election, start a new war and murdered 4 Americans in the process.

General Carter Ham was NOT relieved of command because he tried to send air cover to protect the Embassy after being ordered to stand down; he was relieved of command because the planes he was ordered and agreed to have fuelled and waiting to scramble on the runway in Sicilly on 2 mins notice to be over Benghazi within 20 mins of an emergecy, he ordered to take off and fly to Germany for no reason whatsover on the afternoon of the attack.

He was relieved of his command for Mutiny, dereliction of duty and High Treason, and he was relieved of his command at gunpoint.

Not for being told to stand down and declaring his intention to send planes anyway.

Over the course of October, General Partreus, General Ham and General Richard Allen, commander of all US Forces in Afghanistan were ALL forced out as the result of an FBI investigation which mainly involved picking up their emails to learn whether they were participating in this Fascist overthrow of American Democracy and provoke a war with Iran in collusion with Isreal or not, and the ones that were, they got their undercover FBI investigator to email pictues of her naked breasts to their DoD Blackberries, allowing them to resign quietly without the need for a series of public Courts Martial for Treason Against the United States (Standard sentencing Tariff: Death by Hanging).

Here, again: Most of what Rush's caller is saying here is true; but when he says "This is real, insider Baseball information, here", he means "highly classified, top secret information about how embassies are protected", and he KNOWS that the planes were not on the ground in Sicily, General Ham had ordered them to Germany before the attack to ensure there was no air cover in range during the attack...

No, Obama DIDN'T order planes to take off... Because the system is set up in such a way that there is absolutely no circumstance that is reliant on him having do so, a good common sense set-up that doesn't make the operational security and safety of US Government personnel overseas in dangerous countries dependant on whether or not the President is currently indisposed or pre-occupied with other matters such as locked in conference, attempting to parcel out a particularly hefty dump.

The planes take off on their own. Provided they are there.

And by mutual agreement, they're ALWAYS there and ALWAYS ready to take off and provide support at a moment's notice.

Except on the evening of 9 11 12. When they weren't.

Because General Ham ordered them to take off and fly to German for no good reason without informing anyone else.

Which is Treason. And Murder.

Down the Memory Hole: Suspect Spotting on 24hrs Rolling News News and the Hunt for John Doe Number 2, 3, 4 and more

Hey,did you just see that!  You saw that, right? It wasn't just me...

Witnesses to a Massacre: Other Participants In The Columbine Shooting

On a day when the upper limit on the record for the bloodiest American Mass Shooting (by body-count) is smashed for now the second time in less than five months (having previously stood unchallenged and unopposed for the previous 13 years), it's as well to be reminded, as with any realtime televised mass media event, it's as well to at least make mental note of any incidents or events appearing on your screens that  do not appear.... as advertisted.

Dan Rather taught us a thing or two about these kinds of thing in his time, for good or ill.

Make mental note of everything you see that does not match the description being given for it via voiceovers on the live feed.

Because by tomorrow, you may find the record does not show what you remember seeing and saying that you saw.

The Most Important Suicide Note You May Ever Read - Col. Ted Westhusing, June 5th, 2005

Thanks for telling me it was a good day until I briefed you. [General Petraeus]—You are only interested in your career and provide no support to your staff—no msn [mission] support and you don’t care.

I cannot support a msn that leads to corruption, human right abuses and liars. I am sullied—no more. I didn’t volunteer to support corrupt, money grubbing contractors, nor work for commanders only interested in themselves.

I came to serve honorably and feel dishonored. I trust no Iraqi. I cannot live this way.

All my love to my family, my wife and my precious children. I love you and trust you only. Death before being dishonored any more.

Trust is essential—I don’t know who trust anymore. [sic] Why serve when you cannot accomplish the mission, when you no longer believe in the cause, when your every effort and breath to succeed meets with lies, lack of support, and selfishness?

No more.

Reevaluate yourselves, cdrs [commanders]. You are not what you think you are and I know it.

COL Ted Westhusing

Life needs trust. Trust is no more for me here in Iraq.

Two years before Westhusing left for Baghdad, he had finished his doctoral dissertation in philosophy at Emory University in Atlanta. The focus was on honor and the ethics of war. Westhusing wanted to understand arete—the ancient Greek word meaning virtue, skill, and excellence. His quest for understanding the concept was, he believed, a central part of his existence. “Born to be a warrior, I desire these answers not just for philosophical reasons, but for self-knowledge,” he wrote.

Westhusing did not find excellence or virtue in Iraq.

When he was in Iraq, Westhusing worked for one of the most famous generals in the U.S. military, David Petraeus. In January, Petraeus was appointed by President Bush to lead all U.S. forces in Iraq. As the head of counterterrorism and special operations under Petraeus, Westhusing oversaw the single most important task facing the U.S. military in Iraq then and now: training the Iraqi security forces.

"Something he saw [in Iraq] drove him to this,” one Army officer who was close to Westhusing said in an interview. “The sum of what he saw going on drove him” to take his own life. “It’s because he believed in duty, honor, country that he’s dead.”

The officer said that “strength of character was Ted’s defining characteristic. It was unflinching integrity.” That integrity, he said, was also Westhusing’s great flaw. “To be a true flaw, the personality has to have great strength. And that characteristic caused his downfall.”

Westhusing was born in Dallas, one of seven children. He went to grade school in La Porte, near Houston, until the seventh grade, when his family moved to Tulsa. He was an outstanding student. He was the starting point guard on the basketball team at Jenks High School, a National Merit Scholar, and a devout Christian. He was a hard worker. He was so devoted to basketball that he would shoot 100 jump shots each morning before school. His work ethic, grades, and reputation gave him his pick of colleges. He was accepted at Notre Dame and Duke. He chose West Point. Westhusing’s father had served in the Korean War and had later been in the Navy Reserve.

Westhusing got to West Point in 1979, a time of major upheaval. The academy was still going through the aftershocks of a major cheating scandal. There was a tremendous emphasis on ethics and truthfulness. Westhusing loved it. As an underclassman, he was his company’s honor representative on the cadet committee. In 1983, during his senior year, he was selected as the honor captain for the whole school, a position that made him the highest-ranking ethics official within the cadet corps. In that position, Westhusing helped adjudicate all of the honor violations that came before the committee. That year, he graduated third in his class.

From West Point, he went on to serve in the 82nd Airborne Division. He went to Ranger and Airborne schools and did stints in Italy, South Korea, and Honduras. He learned to speak Russian and Italian. And he continued his quest for intellectual excellence. In 2000, he went to Emory for a master’s degree in philosophy. In 2002, he moved to Austin to take a six-week class in classical Greek at the University of Texas. Westhusing and his Greek teacher at UT, Thomas Palaima, worked as consultants on a television documentary about the Trojan horse.

At West Point, Westhusing was comfortable in his teaching job. He had no reason to do anything else. He was at the pinnacle of his profession and doing a job he loved. But in late 2004, he got a call from a former commander in the 82nd Airborne Division asking if he wanted to go to Iraq. Westhusing didn’t hesitate before saying yes. Westhusing’s father, Keith Westhusing, would later tell T. Christian Miller, a reporter for the Los Angeles Times, that his son wanted to go to Iraq to “obtain verification.” Going would make him a better soldier, his father is quoted as saying in Miller’s recent book about corruption in Iraq, Blood Money. A stint in Iraq would “lend authenticity to his status, not only as a soldier, but as an instructor at West Point.”

A fellow officer who worked with Westhusing at West Point said in an interview that prior to leaving for Iraq, “Ted never swayed in his belief that the Iraq mission was both just and being performed correctly; he told me personally that he would stay longer than the assigned six months if necessary. Before leaving, he was engaged in intense debate with the senior philosophy professor in the department. Ted believed in the mission, while his counterpart had several questions as to whether Operation Iraqi Freedom met the standards of a just war.”

Westhusing’s wife, Michelle, later told investigators that her husband believed “going to Iraq would make him a better professor when he taught cadets who would likely be going over there. … He thought we were doing a great thing in Iraq.”

The first stop on Westhusing’s deployment was Fort Benning, Georgia. He went through his medical exams, collected his equipment, and worked on his shooting skills. After so much time in the classroom, those skills were not sharp. According to documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, Westhusing scored just 170 on the combat pistol range when he was tested on January 15, 2005. If he had scored just 20 points lower, he would not have qualified.

Nevertheless, Westhusing’s first few weeks in Iraq were, he wrote to a friend, “high adventure.” His formal title was director, counter terrorism/special operations, Civilian Police Assistance Training Team, Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq. He liked working closely with his Iraqi counterparts and seemed to get along well with the contractors from Virginia-based U.S. Investigations Services, a private security company with contracts worth $79 million to help train Iraqi police units that were conducting special operations. (The owners of USIS include the Carlyle Group, the powerful private equity firm whose investors formerly included George H.W. Bush and former Secretary of State James A. Baker III.) In another message to a friend back home, he said that “if you are not of strong character and know right from wrong, you will leave this place devastated in personal esteem and priceless human beings will be harmed.”

Westhusing worked under the supervision of two army generals: Joseph Fil, a major general (two stars) and Petraeus, a lieutenant general (three stars). Petraeus was impressed with Westhusing. By 2005, Petraeus had become a darling of the U.S. media thanks, in part, to his success in helping stabilize and rebuild northern Iraq. Petraeus liked what he saw in Westhusing and promoted him from lieutenant colonel to full colonel. In a March 2005 e-mail, Petraeus told Westhusing that he had “already exceeded the very lofty expectations that all had for you.”

It appears that shortly after writing the note, at about 1 p.m. Baghdad time, Westhusing took the 9 mm Beretta automatic pistol he’d been issued at Fort Benning five months earlier, placed it behind his left ear, and pulled the trigger.

After Westhusing’s death, there was a great deal of speculation. Some family members and friends began wondering if he had been murdered. Westhusing was supposed to leave for the U.S. on July 7. Yet
e killed himself on June 5. Why, they
asked, couldn’t he stick it out for just one more month?

Much of the speculation focused on USIS and the contractors. Did Westhusing have evidence that the contractors wanted to keep quiet?

There were conflicting stories from the contractors about how they discovered Westhusing’s body. One manager said that the first time he went to find Westhusing after lunch on June 5, the door to Westhusing’s room was locked. But on a second visit, he said, he found the door unlocked. Further, one of the first people to find Westhusing in his room, a military contractor, moved Westhusing’s pistol from its original position, claiming he had done so for safety reasons. That person was never checked for gunpowder residue.

Twelve days after Westhusing’s body was found, Army investigators talked with Michelle Westhusing. She told them the suicide note found near her husband’s body matched “almost verbatim” the discussions she had had with him, and that the handwriting matched her husband’s. She said Westhusing had “lost faith in his commanders” and “did not trust the Iraqis as far as he could spit.”

Asked by investigators if she had anything else to add, she replied, “The one thing I really wish is you guys to go to everyone listed in that letter and speak with them. I think Ted gave his life to let everyone know what was going on. They need to get to the bottom of it, and hope all these bad things get cleaned up.”

It appears that Michelle didn’t get her wish.

In September 2005, the Army’s inspector general concluded an investigation into allegations raised in the anonymous letter to Westhusing shortly before his death. It found no basis for any of the issues raised. Although the report is redacted in places, it is clear that the investigation was aimed at determining whether Fil or Petraeus had ignored the corruption and human rights abuses allegedly occurring within the training program for Iraqi security personnel. The report, approved by the Army’s vice chief of staff, four-star Gen. Richard Cody, concluded that “commands and commanders operated in an Iraqi cultural and ethical environment often at odds with Western practices.” It said none of the unit members “accepted institutional corruption or human rights abuses. Unit members, and specifically [redacted name] and [redacted name] took appropriate action where corruption or abuse was reported.”

The context, placement and relative size of the redacted names strongly suggest that they refer to Petraeus and Fil.

Last November, Fil returned to Iraq. He is now the commanding general of the Multinational Division in Baghdad and of the 1st Cavalry Division.

On February 12, Petraeus took command of all U.S. forces in Iraq. He now wears four stars. And as in 2005, Petraeus’s main job in Iraq will be building up beleaguered police and military. He made that point clear in a open letter to U.S. soldiers and civilians serving in Iraq, which he had distributed on the day he took command. His letter declared that, “Shoulder-to-shoulder with our Iraqi comrades, we will conduct a pivotal campaign to improve security for the Iraqi people. Together with our Iraqi partners, we must defeat those who oppose the new Iraq.”

Classified Information Plays Central Role in Both 9/11, WikiLeaks Cases By Donna Miles American Forces Press Service

http://www.defense.gov/news/newsarticle.aspx?id=118262

FORT MEADE, Md., Oct. 18, 2012 – Pretrial hearings for two major court cases – one involving the alleged perpetrators behind the 9/11 terror attacks and the other involving the soldier charged with the largest intelligence leak in U.S. history – are converging this week as attorneys operating in two very different legal systems focus on the issue of classified information in the courtroom.

The pre-trial hearing for Khalid Sheik Mohammed, who has confessed to planning the 9/11 attacks “from A to Z,” and four others who allegedly trained, financed or arranged transportation for the 19 hijackers entered its fourth day today at Naval Air Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Mohammed’s codefendants in the case are his nephew, Ali Abdul Aziz Ali; Walid Muhammad Salih Mubarak bin Attash, charged with selecting and training some of the hijackers; and Ramzi Binalshibh and Mustafa Ahmed Adam al Hawsawi, accused with helping finance the attacks.

Meanwhile, here at Fort Meade, the second day of pre-trial hearings continued for Army Pfc. Bradley Manning. He is an Army intelligence specialist accused of downloading and transmitting classified information to the whistle-blowing group WikiLeaks while he was deployed to Iraq.

The legal systems being used to prosecute these cases are significantly different.

Manning, as a member of the U.S. military, is subject to the Uniformed Code of Military Justice. This system has roots dating back to the Revolutionary War, and is intended to promote good order and discipline in the armed forces. The 9/11 defendants, on the other hand, will be tried through a military tribunal governed by the Military Commissions Act of 2009.

Manning is charged with aiding the enemy; wrongfully causing intelligence to be published on the Internet, knowing that it is accessible to the enemy; theft of public property or records; transmitting defense information; and fraud and related activity in connection with computers. The charges against him also include violation of Army Regulations 25-2 “Information Assurance” and 380-5 “Department of the Army Information Security Program.”

If found guilty, Manning could receive up to life in prison. He also could be reduced to E-1, the lowest enlisted grade, and face a total forfeiture of all pay and allowances and dishonorable discharge.

Military commissions, on the other hand, apply to “an alien unprivileged enemy belligerent who has engaged in hostilities, or who has purposefully and materially supported hostilities against the United States, its coalition partners or was a part of al Qaeda.”

The 9/11 defendants were captured in Pakistan between 2002 and 2003 and have been confined at Guantanamo Bay since 2006.

They were charged during their arraignment in May with terrorism, conspiracy, attacking civilians, attacking civilian objects, intentionally causing serious bodily injury, murder in violation of the law of war, destruction of property in violation of the law of war, hijacking or hazarding a vessel or aircraft. If found guilty, they could receive the death penalty.

A casual peek into the courtrooms gives a glimpse into one of the most obvious differences between the UCMJ and military commission processes.

By law, Manning is not required to attend proceedings regarding his case, but a military lawyer with more than 20 years experience said on background that he’s never seen a service member not attend. Photographers outside the courtroom yesterday captured images of Manning being escorted from the courtroom in his Army dress blue uniform with gold-colored private first class rank on his sleeves.

Army Col. James Pohl, the judge presiding over the 9/11 case, ruled earlier this week that the defendants don’t have to attend their court sessions, as long as they sign a waiver form each morning they choose to skip. When they do elect to attend, they can dress as they choose – as long as their attire doesn’t include U.S. military uniform items or prisoner garb in a color that would misrepresent their security status at the detention facility.

Mohammed quickly took advantage of both rulings. He opted out of court the first day after Pohl ruled that he could – the day the judge also took up the wardrobe issue. Yesterday, Mohammed initially elected not to attend the third day of pre-trial hearings, then showed up later that morning wearing a camouflage vest over his traditional white tunic.

Most of the distinctions between the UCMJ and military commission legal processes are less obvious to those without legal training, and the discussion could fill textbooks. One big question being debated during the 9/11 hearings, for example, is whether the defendants have constitutional rights.

However, a central concern in both the Manning and 9/11 cases is the issue of how classified information is dealt with in court.

Today, the fourth day of pretrial hearings for the 9/11 suspects continued to focus on the balance between protecting classified information that, if made public, could jeopardize U.S. national security, and the constitutional mandate that court proceedings be open to the public.

The prosecution and U.S. government lawyers say protections are needed to prosecute the case without disclosing classified information that would threaten U.S. national security.

In contrast, the defendant’s defense teams accused prosecutors of using an overly broad banner of national security to safeguard information vital to providing a solid defense. Echoing them were lawyers representing the American Civil Liberties Union and media groups, who said the government wants to squelch information the public deserves to know.

Pohl is expected to rule this week on a protective order the prosecution has requested to spell out what provisions are protected and which ones aren’t.

A central issue in both the 9/11 and Manning cases involves information regarding the defendants’ detention. For Manning, that involves time when he was allegedly mistreated while being held in a Marine Corps brig at Quantico, Va. Of primary concern regarding the 9/11 defendants is time they spent in the hands of the CIA before being transferred to Guantanamo Bay.

Both cases also require hammering out details about witnesses who can be called. In Manning’s case, for example, some witnesses’ names have been redacted from the motion and are considered to be classified as secret. At Guantanamo Bay, the issue involves whether the defense is required to give the prosecution a heads up about what testimony the witnesses it calls are likely to provide –something the government would weigh in deciding whether to fly a witness to the court.

Meanwhile, Army Col. Denise Lind, the judge hearing he Manning case, ordered the prosecution yesterday to release hundreds of emails about his incarceration to the defense team. Lind’s ruling covered all but 12 of about 600 emails regarding a range of issues: from Manning’s visitor list and provisions to ensure he had proper uniforms to plans for responding to protesters and media queries. These emails, added to ones already in the possession of Manning’s defense attorneys, bring to 1,200 the total number of emails that will presumably be used to argue that their client was treated illegally.

Lind also issued rulings that would allow parts of CIA, FBI and Department of Homeland Security documents used in the case to be redacted.

Ironically, the only concrete decision made during the 9/11 hearing today had nothing to do with the court proceedings. Rather, it involved the cleanup of administrative space the defense teams have complained are plagued with rat droppings and mold. Although base officials had declared them safe, a defense lawyer told Pohl the space is making her staff sick.

A Navy officer promised a comprehensive cleanup before the next series of pre-trial hearings, assuring the court that occupational health experts will verify that they they’re up to standards.

A gunman has opened fire at a shopping mall near the city of Portland, Oregon, killing two people and himself

"Multiple witnesses reported to local media that the gunman was wearing a mask and brandishing an assault-style rifle."

Here we go again...

Why mask yourself if you intend suicide? Why kill only two before halting and shooting yourself? Hardly a blaze of glory.

And did he shoot himself with his own assault rifle, or did he have a sidearm?

Or maybe a friend? Or a handler.

Basics, people....

We've been over this, already...

Drones Gone Wild: This was no "gas explosion"....

Massive Explosion Reported After CIA Drone Targets Indianapolis
By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Western Subscribers

A chilling report circulating in the Kremlin this afternoon released by the Aerospace Defence Forces (VKO) states that Kosmos 2479 detected the firing of two AGM-114 Hellfire missiles from a MQ-1 Predator drone yesterday being operated by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) over the United States city of Indianapolis that resulted in a massive explosion [photo 2nd left], and from local US media reports resulted in at least two deaths.

Kosmos 2479 is an early warning satellite launched in 2012 as part of the VKO's Oko programme and monitors the US from geostationary orbit for all possible threats, including the tracking of American airspace for US Air Force and CIA fighter jets, bombers and drones.

The CIA's MQ-1 Predator drones, equipped with two fearsome AGM-114 Hellfire missiles, have been described as President Obama's “weapon of choice” and are currently most noted for bringing to Pakistan the same horror that Hitler's doodlebugs inflicted on London during World War II.

According to this report, after the firing of these drone-missiles, two distinct trajectories were recorded which were “near simultaneously countermanded” by countermeasures employed by an AN/ALQ-99 airborne electronic warfare system aboard a US Air Force EA-6B Prowler electronic warfare aircraft that had been dispatched from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base to track this CIA drone that had, apparently, deviated from its assigned flight track.

Most ominous in this VKO report is its stating that the “intended targets” of these Hellfire missiles were the US Army Resource Services (PPBES) and the US Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), both located in Indianapolis, Indiana. "

#Benghazi-hole: The Pentagon Gets Purged.

These men at the Pentagon are now all OUT, all in quick succession and all for reasons other than poor performance of their duties, bad decisions that created more problems or any serious breach of military discipline or the Uniform Code.

All had commands in or adjacent to West Asia.

Next time you hear one of them on a phone-in radio talks show - call in and ask them what they think about Syria.

Or, alternatively, why they participated in a fascist coup to overthrown the democratic government of the United States...

#Bengahzi-hole: General Ham just got fucked with his pants still on by his Commander in Chief...

October Surprise 2012: Mitt takes the dive, bites the canvas - Obama, in TWO, Knockout Victory.

Look, you can actually SEE the exact moment he took the dive, you can WATCH Romney deliberately concede the election, and he did it on live television!

Romney's pretty dumb and arrogant, but he's not a *complete* moron... Which he would need to be if his debate prep did not include basic facts underpinning his most potent and damaging line of attack, that (in a general sense) Bengahzi was incompetently handled . Well, it was a bit more going on than that... And George would HAVE to know that by the time this debate occurred, if only because of his daily CIA briefings.

Benghazi: F**k Benghazi-gate, lets talk about the Benghazi-hole!!

There are those who say "Any hole's a goal!" and live their lives by that code.

Well, you'd certainly be hard pressed to miss this this one.

This is an 18 foot wide hole in the outer wall of Ambassador's interim consular compound.

It was opened up by a car-bomb.

The bombing occurred on June 6th 2012.

The hole remains there to this day.

Fuck the gate, let's talk about the hole.

And why MSM seem to always be trying to shoot the other way down the street when taking footage showing the outside of the compound.

...almost like they were working REALLY hard to pretend it wasn't there at all...

I'm sure that can't possibly be the case... Can it..?

Benghazi: If this happened to you in your place of work... Then you were fired for it... Then the person who did it to you was promoted to your old job... What would you think?

Right now, I'm thinking several things.

Not the least one of which is "like CrimsonTide an' shit all up in this m'ufucka, gee...F'real!"

Several others relate to Truman/McArthur, militarism, civilian command of the Armed Service and the rise of fascism by degrees, but I will hold those back just for the time being.

Chiefly because I haven't yet fully addressed myself to the question of civilian command of the military in instances where it appears distinctly likely that the General in question may well be absolutely correct in the call he makes, legally as well as morally , and the Commander in a Chief in question completely and totally in the wrong (on one, if not both of those scores).

Haven't quite made up my mind yet how I feel about that one....

If I'm honest, I'm not really sure it ever occurred to me to even consider it, really...

Project STORMFURY. Operation Plan No. 1-69

"Two basic experiments have been proposed for Project STORMFURY operations 1969.

In the Eyewall Experiment, seeding and monitoring of the changes in the structure and circulation of a well-developed hurricane will be attempted, if nature provides the proper storm at the right time and place.

Hurricane seeding will be done at two-hour intervals over an eight-hour period.

The rainband experiment consists of four primary objectives: namely,

(1) Conduct a detailed, dynamic and thermodynamic investigation of the rainband;

(2) Carry out seeding experiments to determine if the basic character of the rainband can be changed by seeding;

(3) study the role the rainband plays in the total storm structure;

and (4) investigate how its modification might affect the total behavior of the storm."

Project STORMFURY. Operation Plan No. 1-69

Holmes "felt like he was in a video game" during the shootingand "programmed" to kill by an evil therapist.

Steven Unruh is having a hard time convincing anyone that he spent hours talking to Aurora theater shootings suspect James Holmes shortly after his arrest last July. Jail officials say there's no way that Unruh could have had that kind of access. Yet certain elements of the story -- which includes a description that resembles the headbanging routine that sent Holmes to the hospital last week -- have been attracting attention from law enforcement and even families of the shooting victims.

"They're going to try to discredit my story," Unruh told Westword in a recent interview at the jail. "But I was able to have a four-hour talk with him. I talked him out of suicide."

There are plenty of reasons to be skeptical of the tale presented by Unruh, a 38-year-old inmate with a long history of drug and theft charges. To begin with, his account of what Holmes supposedly told him is as bizarre as a William S. Burroughs fever dream. Also, Unruh just got out of prison last January after serving six years for methamphetamine and credit-card fraud convictions, and he says he's been diagnosed as having a bipolar condition.

"It's always been meth with me," he says. "If I drink a beer or something, I've got the voices in my head that drive me to do more drugs. I'm really weak-minded."

He's going public with his account of an encounter with Holmes, he says, only after first trying to interest the Arapahoe County District Attorney's Office in his story. He's currently facing habitual criminal charges and had hoped to deal his way into mental health treatment rather than a twelve-year prison sentence. Although an investigator visited him, "the DA hasn't been working with me," he sighs.

What Unruh can prove is that he was booked into the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility on drug and theft charges at 6:44 p.m. on July 19 -- just hours before the attack in Aurora at a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises that left twelve dead and dozens wounded. Unruh says he was still in the booking area when officers brought in Holmes, whose head was initially covered with a hood. Although Holmes was put into a cell by himself, Unruh says inmates in the area are able to communicate by shouting through a small gap in the cell doors, which move back and forth on rails.

"I didn't know who he was," Unruh explains. "I could hear some black dudes yelling from the other side, 'You're a piece of shit! Kill yourself!' I had been in prison before, so they said, 'Tell this dude he's not going to be all high and mighty on the prison yard.'"

Unruh says he began talking to Holmes, explaining how poorly child killers are received in prison. Jail staff quickly covered the window in Holmes' cell door with a tarp, but Unruh says he heard him pounding on the wall with his fists -- and then running, slamming his body and his head into the wall.

(Unruh described this action in an interview that took place several days before Holmes reportedly engaged in similar headbanging last week.)

"It went on for ten minutes before I couldn't handle it any more," Unruh says. "I told him, 'Don't be doing that. You need to repent to the people for what happened.' He asked me to do an apology letter for the kids."

Captain Vince Sauter of the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office says that both the physical layout of the booking area and staff's monitoring of the area would have prevented the kind of dialogue Unruh claims. "Even if they were in booking at the same time, they couldn't shout from one cell to another like that," he says. "For someone to say they were communicating with this person -- it can't happen."

Lieutenant J.D. Knight, who directly supervises booking operations, agrees. "It would be virtually impossible for Mr. Unruh to have any of the communications he has stated," he says.

But Unruh insists the sporadic conversation continued even after Holmes was moved to another cell in the area. He says that Holmes told him "he felt like he was in a video game" during the shooting, that "he wasn't on his meds" and "nobody would help him." He says Holmes also mentioned NLP -- presumably, neuro-linguistic programming, a much-scorned and outmoded approach to psychotherapy -- and claimed to have been "programmed" to kill by an evil therapist.

"When he got out to his car, he wasn't programmed no more," Unruh says. "It sounded kind of crazy. He was trying to run it by me, basically."

Unruh has a phone number that he says Holmes asked him to call. (The number connects to the cell phone of a bereavement counselor, who says she has no acquaintance with Holmes or Unruh.)

He has a form that indicates James Holmes tried to send him a letter, but it was rejected by jail authorities.
(Knight says he has no record of any letter sent by Holmes to Unruh, intercepted or otherwise.) He claims to have received messages from Holmes via other inmates since that night, but he admits he doesn't know if the sender was actually Holmes.

Still, Unruh's story seems to have drawn interest in one unlikely quarter. He says Holmes told him he "walked up and down the aisles" of the theater three times before he opened fire, and that detail, if true, might have some bearing on the pending litigation by victims' families against the theater chain. Unruh has paperwork indicating that he's been in communication with at least one family member on that point.

Unruh's story may well prove to be nonsense. Whether it's his nonsense or Holmes's own, the lack of answers in the Aurora tragedy has some people looking for whatever answers can be found.
