When a popular revolution originates from the people, as in the cases of  Vietnam, Libya and Syria, it is the moral duty of free people to stand behind those demanding to be free in their struggle against counter-revolutionary attack by their oppressors.

And that involves lending them some guns.

And it's very liberal and very democratic. Franklin Roosevelt did it, after all...
