The Price

For Those That Remember : We Spent All of 2005 Waiting for Pete Doherty to Die

And then he didn't.

They made documentaries about it - on Channel 4

Bob Dylan: It goes back to that destiny thing. I made a bargain with it a long time ago, and I’m holding up my end.

Q: What was your bargain?

Bob Dylan: To get where I am now.

Q: Should I ask whom you made the bargain with?

Bob Dylan: With the Chief... The Chief Commander.

Q: On this earth?

Bob Dylan: (laughing) On this earth, in and the world we can’t see.

Its one and the same, one and the same, oh...

So whats the use between death and glory?
How can you choose between death and glory?

Happy endings, no, they never bored me

Happy endings, they still don't bore me

But they, they have a way....

a way to make you pay.
And, to make you toe the line...

Peaches Geldof signed her name in BLOOD in junkie Pete Doherty's journal - promising not to die

He is still battling a harrowing heroin addiction.

And musician Pete Doherty's journals contain a sad entry, penned by fellow addict Peaches Geldof an oath promising not to die, signed in her own blood.

Her haunting words emerged in Doherty's newly published diary, From Albion To Shangri-la, charts the musician’s life from 2008 to 2013, and includes more than 200 pages of his drug-induced writings.

The Kindle version shows a picture of Peaches name and a phone number written in her own blood with a syringe. It isn't clear who wrote the chilling message.

"I solemnly swear I am not going  to die," was the message written under her name. A promise which the editor of the book claims was Pete trying to stop Peaches from overdosing on heroin.

Written when the mother-of-two was 19, before she married or had children, the message comes after Peaches reportedly overdosed in a nightclub.

Nina Antonia, who edited the book, told The Mail on Sunday: "If you look at Peter’s reference to Peaches – it is written in Peter  'speak' – 'Conditions of doing as  she would with her pleasuring ting a ting' translates to 'if you are going  to continue using drugs please can  you make a promise to be careful?'. Hence her response, 'I solemnly swear not to…'

The book, From Albion To Shangri-la, charts the musician's life from 2008 to 2013, and includes more than 200 pages of his drug-induced writings

It even has an entry written by the late singer Amy Winehouse.

The diary entry emerges as it was revealed police are closing in on the drug dealer who sold Peaches the heroin that killed her.

They have identified a “handful” of suspects who they believe could have sold her the lethal batch.

Officers have narrowed down the search for a possible “pick-up” spot to several key areas visited by Peaches in the days before she died – including central London.

They are preparing to swoop on the culprit and the stash houses used to hold the drugs.

Peaches, 25, died in April with 3mg of heroin per litre of blood in her system.

That was ten times the level that killed her mother Paula Yates in 2000.

Police found 6.91g of the drug in a bag at Peaches’ home with a purity of 61 per cent – more than twice that of street-level heroin and worth up to £550.

Officers dismissed claims that her musician husband Thomas Cohen, 23, was “in any way under suspicion of any involvement” in Peaches’ death or in the investigation into the heroin supply.

But detectives are believed to have gained useful information from Peaches’ circle of friends about her lifestyle.

A source said: “The astonishingly high purity levels of the drug are a major concern and mean that somebody is selling heroin at a strength that is well capable of killing again.

"They have to be found and they have to be stopped.”

Stashes of heroin, burnt spoons and almost 79 syringes were scattered around Peaches’ £1million home in Wrotham, Kent when she was found dead.

A used syringe was in a sweet box next to her. She had been looking after baby son Phaedra while her husband was away overnight, and the little boy was reportedly left alone for up to 17 hours.

Peaches is said to have been prescribed heroin substitute methadone to cure her addiction. Last week a coroner said the TV presenter and model had been drug free for five months before her death.

But her husband told the hearing she relapsed in February and was hiding heroin in the loft.

Hours before her death she posted a picture of herself and her mother on Instagram, with the caption: “Me and my mum.”

Peaches was 11 when mum Paula died of a heroin overdose at the age of 41, with youngest daughter Tiger Lily at her side.

Scotland Yard, Kent Police and the National Crime Association are holding a joint probe into Peaches’ death.

F**k Forever

Its one and the same, one and the same oh,
So whats the use between death and glory?
How can you choose between death and glory?

Happy endings, no, they never bored me
Happy endings, they still don't bore me

But they, they have a way
They have a way to make you pay
And to make you toe the line

Sever the ties
Because I'm so clever
But clever ain't wise

Fuck forever
If you don't mind
Oh fuck forever?
If you dont mind, dont mind,i dont mind,i dont mind

Oh whats the use between death and glory?
I cant tell between death and glory?
New labour and Tory
Purgatory and no happy families

Its one and the same, one and the same
No, its not the same
Its not supposed to be the same
You know about that way
The way they make you pay
And the way they make you toe the line
I've severed my ties
Oh, you're so clever, you're so clever
But you're not very nice
So fuck forever
If you don't mind
Oh I'm stuck forever
In your mind, your mind, your mind

But have you heard about that way,
To make you feel I should soon make you pay
And to make you toe the line, line
I Sever my ties
Oh well i never
Sever the ties
And fuck forever
If you don't mind
See i'm stuck forever
Oh i'm stuck in your mind, your mind, your mind

I never played this on the radio
Oh they never played this on the radio.
