“ My daughter used to be really irritated about that because she, like most people, was the target of feminine conspiratorial bullying at one. . . She’s no pushover, my daughter.

So it wasn’t like this was a continual thing or that she didn’t know what to do about it.

But she had observed these girls conspiring against her and blackening her name on Facebook, which is part and parcel of the typical female bullying routine, which is often reputation demolition.

There’s a good literature on that. And then she’d watch what would happen if my son would have a dispute with his friends.

And maybe they were drinking, and there was a dispute. They’d have a fight, and the next day they were friends again.

That’s another thing that’s strange is that men have a way of bringing a conflict to a head and resolving it.

And it isn’t obvious to me that women have that same, perhaps you might call it, LUXURY.

But it’s also the case that men don’t know what to do when they get into a conflict with a woman.

Because what the hell are you supposed to DO?

Mostly what you’re supposed to do is AVOID it...”

- Peterson

‘Gilgamesh has gone into the marriage-house and shut out the people. He does strange things in Uruk, the city of great streets. At the roll of the drum work begins for the men, and work for the women.

Gilgamesh the king is about to celebrate marriage with the Queen of Love, and he still demands to be first with the bride, the king to be first and the husband to follow, for that was ordained by the gods from his birth, from the time the umbilical cord was cut. But now the drums roll for the choice of the bride and the city groans.’

At these words Enkidu turned white in the face. ‘I will go to the place where Gilgamesh lords it over the people, I will challenge him boldly, and I will cry aloud in Uruk, ”I have come to change the old order, for I am the strongest here.’”

Now Enkidu strode in front and the woman followed behind. He entered Uruk, that great market, and all the folk thronged round him where he stood in the street in strong-walled Uruk. The people jostled; speaking of him they said,

‘He is the spit of Gilgamesh.’

‘He is shorter.’

‘He is bigger of bone.’

‘This is the one who was reared on the milk of wild beasts.
His is the greatest strength.’

The men rejoiced:

‘Now Gilgamesh has met his match.

This great one, this hero whose beauty is like a god, he is a match even for Gilgamesh.’

'Kick his ass!'

In Uruk the bridal bed was made, fit for the Goddess of Love.

The bride waited for the bridegroom, but in the night Gilgamesh got up and came to the house.

Then Enkidu stepped out, he stood in the street and blocked the way.

Mighty Gilgamesh came on and Enkidu met him at the gate.

He put out his foot and prevented Gilgamesh from entering the house, so they grappled, holding each other like bulls.

They broke the doorposts and the walls shook, they snorted like bulls locked together.

They shattered the doorposts and the walls shook.

Gilgamesh bent his knee with his foot planted on the ground and with a turn Enkidu was thrown.

Then immediately his fury died.

When Enkidu was thrown he said to Gilgamesh,

‘There is not another like you in The World.

Ninsun, who is as strong as a wild ox in the byre, she was the mother who bore you, and now you are raised above all men, and Enlil has given you the kingship, for your strength surpasses the strength of men.’

So Enkidu and Gilgamesh embraced and their friendship was sealed.

Female Conspiritorial Bullying

The Antidote is TRUTH and RESPONSIBILITY - STAND UP

Jordan Peterson - Why Young Men are Hungry for Responsibility

What is really weird if for me as I get older and feel myself growing wiser, is that if you go through Life and you are Paying Attention ( and I am), and you start to pay attention to the canonical miracles of Jesus, you actually start to begin to realise how he actually did  some of them -

And then, that
You Can Do Them Too --

If you are amongst Good Friends and in Good Company, having a Good Time, then water does turn into Wine --

That is actually one reason why people do develop drink problems, when they use it as a Social Lubricant -

Does anybody remember that one guy who someone was dating on 'Friends'..?

Do you recall ever hearing the parable of 'Fun Bobby' ...?'

The Miracles and Healings of Jesus,
The Miraculous Healings of Paul, The Emissary,
Including all of the exorcisms,

Many, if not most of them simply involve Jesus/Paul/YOU addressing the person directly and commanding them with a Voice of Authority to

STAND UP
TALITHA KUM

And you can see this and document this throughout the book, provided you remain undogmatic about the text and the process, engage your creative imagination and remain un-precious about it.

The Fourth Gospel is the easiest one -

The Gospel according to St. John, the non-synoptic gospel, the one containing all of the theology and beautiful language quoted at funerals and such that nobody ever consciously listens to or hears.

The Ability to Let
That Which Does Not Matter
Truly Slide

"Doesn't matter what The Press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right.

This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences.

When The Mob and The Press and The Whole World tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a Tree beside The River of Truth, and tell The Whole World — "No, you move."

Carry On Sergeant (1958) was about a group of recruits doing National Service; its title, the command commonly issued by army officers to their sergeants in the course of their routine duties, was in keeping with its setting.

The term "Carry on" is typically issued by an officer to an NCO when handing over control of a parade or inspection.

Carry On, Sergeant.

Rachel Dawes is a Weak and Dishonest Person, Pretending to Be Brave

The Rachel Dawes of Earth-Two
TEN YEARS LATER

“But the thing that I really see happening. . . And you can tell me what you think about this.

In Neumann’s book, consciousness - which is masculine, symbolically masculine for a variety of reasons - is viewed as rising up against the countervailing force of tragedy from an underlying feminine, symbolically feminine, unconsciousness.

And it’s something that can always be pulled back into that unconsciousness.

The microcosm of that would be the Freudian Oedipal Mother familial dynamic where the mother is so overprotective and all-encompassing that she interferes with the development of the competence not only of her sons but also of her daughters, of her children in general.

And it seems to me that that’s the dynamic that’s being played out in our society right now.

And it’s related in some way that I don’t understand to this insistence that all forms of masculine authority are nothing but tyrannical power.

So the symbolic representation is Tyrannical Father with no appreciation for the Benevolent Father, and Benevolent Mother with no appreciation whatsoever for the Tyrannical Mother.

I thought of ideologies as fragmentary mythologies.

That’s where they get their archetypal and psychological power.

In a balanced representation you have the Terrible Mother and the Great Mother, as Neumann laid out so nicely.

And you have the Terrible Father and the Great Father.

So that’s the fact that culture mangles you have
to death while it’s also promoting you and developing you.

You have to see that as balanced.

Then you have the heroic and adversarial individual.

But in the postmodern world - and this seems to be something that’s increasingly seeping out into the culture at large - you have nothing but the Tyrannical Father, nothing but the destructive force of masculine consciousness, and nothing but the benevolent Great Mother.

It’s an appalling ideology, and it seems to me that it’s sucking the vitality - which is exactly what you’d expect symbolically - it’s sucking the vitality of our culture.

You see that with the increasing demolition of young men, and not only young men, in terms
of their academic performance.

They’re falling way behind in elementary school, way
behind in junior high, and bailing out of the universities like mad

T
The Batman :
l'm sorry l didn't tell you, Rachel.

Rachel :
No. No, Bruce. . . l'm sorry.

The day that Chill died, I. . . .
l said terrible things.

[ That's The Archetype of The Good Mother -- She is expressing regret for unleashing her Terrible Shadow, when she saw he had a gun and was intending to ruin his life by indulging in an act of petty vengeance and retaliation ]

The Batman :
But True Things.

I was a Coward With a Gun. . .
and Justice is about more than Revenge,

So, Thank You

.
l never stopped thinking about you.

[ Of course, they both grew up together - that's His Best Friend. ]

About Us.

[ Hang on - wait, where's this going, all of a sudden....?! ]

And when l heard you were back, I. . .

[ 'I noticed my biological clock was ticking and went with my hormones (in my hetlad) to the strongest and most capable nearby male - put simply, I now have a massive  crush on you, Bruce, and want you to chase me, so I feel desired and valuable as prize mate.' ]

I started to Hope.

[ Hope.... for what, exactly...?

She's projecting her crush on to him, and using that as the basis upon which to launch a full scale assault on the his Life's Purpose, the very thing that is the Meaning of his Life

She doesn't even know for sure he isn't gay yet, and she quite clearly has not bother to try to find out, or more immediately to the point --

Find Out from him if a life of Domisticity with her in
- in his Great Big Enormous Mansion -
with implications of marriage and the children she wants to have one day is something that he actually even wants -

She, clearly however, quite plainly DOES want it -
(now, anyway...)

Her Oestrogen is screaming out in her blood so loud, it's deafening.

This is No Grounds or Stable Basis
upon which to stage an attempt at establishing a Marriage.

Not everyone

Prior to this precise moment, there had never before

Watch Now, as she instantly shifts gears on him, whilst executing a complete 180-HeelTurn on him, immediately switching to a distant, passive-aggressive posture, begins labelling his strengths, competencies and best coping mechanism as inadequacies, and the main and non-negotiable, deal-breaking barrier between them, as to why it is that he cannot have, hook-up with, much less settle-down with her - ]

But then l found out about your Mask.

 The Batman :
Batman's just a symbol, Rachel.
No. This. . .is Your Mask.

Your Real Face is the one that criminals now fear.

The man l loved. . . the man who vanished. . .
he never came back at all.

But maybe he's still out there somewhere.

Maybe someday, when
Gotham no longer needs Batman. . .
. . .l'll see him again.
-Proved me wrong, you know.

“That’s The Archetype of The Terrible Mother.”

- Jordan Peterson

Wow, Harvey's
taking me next week.

Really?
So you're into ballet?

Bruce, this is Harvey Dent.

The famous Bruce Wayne.
Rachel's told me everything about you.
Well, I certainly hope not.
So, let's put a couple of tables together.
-- I'm not sure that they'll let us.
-- Oh they should. I own the place.

Russian Prima Ballerina :
(Dingbat)
How could want to raise children in a city like this?

Well, I was raised here — I turned out OK.

Is Wayne manor in the city limits?

The Palisades.
You know, as our new DA, you might want to figure out where your jurisdiction ends.

Russian Prima Ballerina :
(Dingbat)
I'm talking about the kind of city that idolizes a masked vigilante.

Gotham City is proud of an ordinary
citizen standing up for what's right.
Gotham needs heroes
like you, elected officials.
And not a man who
thinks he's above the law.
-- Exactly. Who appointed the Batman?
-- We did.
All of us who stood by
and let scum take control of our city.
But this is a democracy, Harvey.
When their enemies were at the gates,
the Romans would suspend democracy
and appoint one man to protect the city.
It wasn't considered an honor,
it was considered a public service.
Harvey, the last man that they appointed
to protect the republic was named Caesar,
and he never gave up his power.
OK, fine.
You either die a hero ...
or you live long enough to see
yourself become the villain.
Look whoever the Batman is, he doesn't
want to do this for the rest of his life.
Batman is looking for someone
to take up his mantle.

Someone like you, Mr. Dent?

Dear Bruce,

I need to be honest and clear.

[ ...for whose sake, you need to be honest and clear...?

I'm going to marry Harvey Dent.

I love him and I want to spend the rest of my life with him.

[ You’re not fooling anyone, least of all yourself, and you know it — but go ahead

When I told you that if Gotham not longer needed Batman we could be together, I meant it.

But now I'm sure the day won't come when you no longer need Batman.

I hope it does.
And if it does, I'll be there.

But as your friend.

If you lose your faith in me, please keep your faith in people.

Love, now and always,
Rachel.

I Am in My Own Way

Why Does Batman Wear a Mask in the First Place...?

Because Bruce Wayne cannot go out onto The Street and do ANY of the things that Batman does on a nightly basis;

As he learns, immediately upon his return to Gotham from his initiatory Martial Arts Training Grand Tour of The World,

No Mere Mortal,
No Human Being
No Real Person

ever could, no matter
how extraordinary, rich, or well-resourced.

People can't fire pitons into gargoyles on skyscrapers and go swinging around major cities under cover of night, solve mysteries and thwart crime.

That just doesn't happen, ever -
That means, in which case, that it actually is impossible
(practically impossible in every way),
since believe me, in almost 80 Years of Batman's career to-date,
plenty  will have tried and failed miserably to emulate his feats.

It's just simply not-possible, then, we must accept -
People just cannot  do those things.
No Human Being could, it's just impossible.

Accepted - So,
How Do We Do It, then?
in that case..?

If you can't ever seem to get the kind of answers you want,
You must ask different questions.

If what you wish to do is something which it is not-possible for any human being in general or you in particular to ever do, then the solution is obvious.

Doing it, however --

That will require a non-negotioable, non-refundable investment of a great deal of both of Work, and
!!MAXIMUM EFFORT!!
on your part -

Just so as to ensure that you were, in fact, serious when you insisted that
This Task
was
What You Desired Most to Do in The Present Moment...?
In the case of the neophyte young Bruce Wayne of course, it was.

And of course it was.
And so when The Answer to The Problem,
the resolution to his crisis of mortal human constraint
came forth from out of The Deep and presented itself before him,
as Destiny would insist that it must, at that juncture --

The Answer was not a solution to be found anywhere within the mortal human realm or spheres of comptencies,
but rather one of pure, unrefined  atavism.

I SHALL BECOME A BAT

The key point to understand here, is -

It's NOT a Disguise.

This is what

INT. HALL/LOUNGE - LATER (NIGHT)

Buffy bursts into the lounge, running as fast as she can. As the camera follows her she goes into slow motion, all sound bleeding out of the sound track.

WHISTLER (V.O.)
Bottom line is even if you see
'em coming, you're not ready
for the big moments. No one
asks for their life to change,
not really. But it does.
Buffy enters the --

INT. LIBRARY - CONTINUOUS - NIGHT

Sees the carnage.

She spots Kendra lying on the ground, goes to her, cradles her on her lap -- tries to stop the bleeding as Kendra dies right in front of her.

WHISTLER (V.O.)
So, what, are we helpless? Puppets?
No. The big moments are gonna
come, can't help that. It's what
you do afterwards that counts.
That's when you find out who you are.

ANGLE: BUFFY AND KENDRA

We see them from behind, Buffy still holding Kendra's head in her lap, when a policeman's GUN comes into frame.

COP
Freeze!!

ANGLE: TWO COPS

are pointing their weapons, looking mighty tense.

Buffy whips her head around to see them.

BLACK OUT.

Over the title:
TO BE CONTINUED:

WHISTLER (V.O.)
You'll see what I mean.

END OF SHOW

WHISTLER
It's all on the line here, kid.

BUFFY
I can deal.
(looks at the sword, at him)
I got nothing left to lose.

She exits. He watches her go, genuine sadness suffusing his gaze.

WHISTLER
Wrong, kid.
You got one more thing.

ANGLE: THE GARDEN

As Angel approaches Buffy, sword in hand.

SPIKE
God, he's going to kill her. . .
After a moment of intense worry, he shrugs, takes off.

Angel approaches Buffy. She tries to move from the corner, but he moves with her. She's boxed in.

He plays the sword near her face, loving this.

ANGEL
That's everything, huh? No weapons, no friends.
No hope. Take all that away and what's left?
Buffy stares at him, his words hitting home. She looks exhausted, and terribly sad. She shuts her eyes.

He lunges, shooting his arm out, the sword straight at her face.

Without opening her eyes she slams her palms together over the blade, stopping it an inch from her face.

She opens her eyes.

BUFFY
Me.

She jerks the sword back, knocking the hilt onto his face, kicking him solidly in the chest.

Argue in the Direction of Peace

“You wanna be having fights all the time,
but you want to always be arguing
in the direction of Peace.”

Martin:
You got everything money can buy, except what it can't.

Its Pride.

Pride is what got your ass out here,
and losing is what brought ya back.

But people like you,
they need to be tested.

They need a Challenge.

Mason 'The Line' Dixon:
But you know that ain't never gunna happen,
there ain't anybody out there Martin.

Martin:
Theres always somebody out there. Always.
 And when that time comes
and you find something standing if front of you,

Something that ain't runnin'
and ain't backin'-up and is hittin'-on you
and your too damn tired to breathe.

You find that situation on you,
that good, 'cuz that's
Baptisim Under FIRE!

Oh you get thru that and
you find the only kind of respect
that matters in This World,

Self-Respect.
