James Has Always Been Cool

Freddie :

I better Do that.

What'd you want me

to Do with The Crates?

James :

Just leave them.

I'll throw The Linens

on them in the morning.

It's easier for them that way.

There you go.

Take it easy.

We're cool.

Okay, Jimmy.

Freddie :

We got one more delivery,

and then it's hit The Roadhouse.

James :

Who's playing?

[ Z.Z. Top ]

Freddie :

Don't know.

You want to see

if Renee will be there.

James :

Yeah, maybe.

Freddie :

But she's married.

James : I know.

How old are you, Freddie?

Freddy :

Going on 23.

James :

I remember Being 23.

-- It's My Birthday today.

Freddie :

Is that right?

Well, Happy Birthday, Jimmy.

This is a real occasion.

James :

-- So you really can't

take that thing off, huh?

Freddie :

Nah, I can't.

James :

I don't understand.

Freddie :

It's, uh,

Part of Me.

Doctor tried to

take it off once, and...

I started bleeding.

James :

Where'd you get it?

Freddie :

I'm, uh, not supposed to tell.

James :

It's my birthday, Freddie.

You gotta tell me.

Come on, I'm not

gonna tell anybody.

Freddie :

Eh, you ain't gonna believe me anyway.

So you may as well tell me.

Freddie, come on,

tell me the story.

Come on.

Freddie : Well...

I told the Doctor.

I, uh... I guess

I can tell you.

And seeing as

how it's your birthday.

I was still living at Home, see?

James :

Where was that?

Freddie : That would be

London Town, East End.

About six months ago,

after a night down at the pub with

me mates, I'm walking home alone.

I get this peculiar feeling

as I turn into this alley

I use as a shortcut.

It strikes me that

I'm wasting me life, Jimmy.

Hanging about,

hitting the pub every night, drinking,

when I should be helping people.

With this feeling in me

on this particular night,

I see in the alleyway

a high stack of boxes,

and I jumped,

you know, like, for fun.

I jumped onto this

high stack of boxes.

And all of a sudden,

I was sucked up into the vortex

of this massive tunnel in the air.

Next thing you know,

I'm floating in thin air,

way up somewhere,

like a void.

And this bloke's there.

The Fireman's what

he's called himself.

And he says to me,

"Go to the hardware store

near Your Flat.

And there you will find

a rack of green rubber

gardening gloves.

One package will

already be open, with

only a right-handed glove

inside.

Purchase that package

and place the glove

on your right hand.

Your right hand will then

possess the power

of an enormous pile driver."

Poof. And I'm back in me room,

waking up the next morning.

I got up, got out of bed.

Dragged a comb across me head.

And I went downstairs

and had a cup — No.

Just kidding about that part.

So I pop round the corner

to the hardware store,

find the rack of gloves.

And, sure enough,

there's the open package

with the one right hand.

Off I go to the counter,

lay down the package

for the clerk, and he says,

"I can't sell you that one.

You have to buy one

that hasn't been opened."

So I say, "That's aright.

I want this one."

He says, "I can't

sell you that one."

I says, "Listen, mate."

I want to buy just the one glove,

and I will pay you full price."

"No, it's already been opened.

I can't sell it to ya."

Now, where I come from,

we call a bloke like this

A "Jobsworth."

That is a person

who delights in acting

in an obstructive or otherwise

unhelpful manner, as in,

"I can't do that — It's

more than my job's worth."

So I says to Mr. Jobsworth,

"Listen, I'm buying this glove."

And I put me bees on the counter

and walk towards the door.

Well, Jobsworth leaps after me

like a possessed puma,

screaming that I can't have

the glove from the package

which has already been opened.

I bolt out the door, hit the cobbles,

hoping to leave Mr. Jobsworth

in the dust slipping the glove on

while I go.

Then he slows me down a mite.

And before you know it,

Jobsworth puts a tackle on me

worthy of a red card

and sends me skidding

on the field.

On instinct, to defend myself,

I popped Jobsworth one in

the loaf with me green glove.

I hear a crack, and...

by the way his head's tilting

and him trying to talk...

I fear I've snapped his Gregory.

And then,

in that moment,

I remember something else that

bloke up in the sky told me.

"Once you've got the glove on,

go to Twin Peaks, Washington,

United States of America.

And there,

You will find Your Destiny."

So here I am, Jimmy,

on your birthday.

Many happy returns.

James : Wow.

Thank you, Freddie.

That's a great story.

Freddie :

The pleasure's all mine, sir.

James :

Why you?

I mean, why do you think

The Fireman picked you?

Freddie :

Well, that's a

Good Question.

I asked him myself, I said,

"Why me?"

And he said,

"Why not you?"

And when I went to buy me ticket

to fly over here, they told me

I already had a ticket.

—  Don't forget.

We're supposed

to check The Furnace.

James : Yeah.

You wait for The Delivery.

Don't forget to sign The Invoice.

I'm gonna go check The Furnaces.

Means

Buffy's Power Speech

BUFFY:
Okay. Let's see What You Are.

She removes the chain-mail mask to
reveal an ordinary-looking human man
with a symbol on his forehead.

BUFFY:
Or who you are.

KNIGHT:
One soldier in a vast army.

BUFFY:
What army?

KNIGHT:
The Knights of Byzantium, an ancient order.
And now Your Enemy.

BUFFY:
(pushes the staff harder into his throat)
You work for Glory?

KNIGHT: You think we align ourselves with the beast? You must be mad.

BUFFY:
You're the ones tried k*ll me.

 KNIGHT:
No, we were fools, three alone.
But if it takes a hundred men,
we send a hundred men, and
if it takes a thousand,
we send a thousand.

BUFFY: A thousand?

KNIGHT: So long as you protect the key,
the brotherhood will never stop until we destroy it and you.
You are the Slayer, and we know what we must do.

Now, be done with it. k*ll us, and let legions follow.

Buffy shoves the staff into his throat again,
then tosses it aside, gets up and picks up the sword.

The knight gets to his feet, and
she puts the sword to his throat.
He turns his head away waiting for the k*ll stroke.

BUFFY: Go.

The knight looks surprised, edges around her
and leaves. Buffy stares at the sword.

Cut to: Buffy entering the magic shop, still holding the sword.
Pan across all the Watchers standing there,
the four Slayerettes still sitting on the upper level,
and Travers sitting at the table with a pile of papers
spread out in front of him. Giles sits on the stairs
leading up to the balcony.

TRAVERS:
You're late.

BUFFY:
Yeah.

GILES: (sees the sword, gets up)
Was, was there an attack?

BUFFY:
Yeah.

TRAVERS:
We can begin the review at last. We'll,
uh, skip the more obvious questions...

Buffy puts the sword down on his papers.

BUFFY:
There isn't gonna be a review.

TRAVERS:
Sorry?

BUFFY:
No review. No interrogation.
No questions you know I can't answer.
No hoops, no jumps -
(Nigel starts to speak)
and no interruptions.
(Nigel shuts up.)

Buffy looks around,
begins to pace.

BUFFY:
See ... I've had a lot of people
talking at me the last few days.

Everyone just lining up to tell me
how unimportant I am.

And I've finally figured out why.

(looks Travers in The Eye)

Power.
I have it. They don't.
This bothers them.

Buffy moves back to the
table, removing her coat.

BUFFY:
Glory ... came to my home today.

GILES: (alarmed)
Buffy, are you-

BUFFY:
(puts her coat on a chair)
Just to Talk. (resumes pacing)
She told me I'm a bug, I'm a flea,
She could squash me in a second.
(stops, looks at Travers again)
Only She didn't.
She came into My Home,
and We Talked.

We had, what in Her warped brain probably
passes for a civilised conversation. Why?

(pauses) Because She needs
something from me.

Because I have
Power over her.

Buffy looks around, hands on her hips.
She walks the floor, looking from
one Watcher to the next as she talks.

BUFFY:
You guys didn't come
all the way from England
to determine whether or not
I was Good Enough
to be let back in.
You came to beg me
to let you back in.

To give Your Jobs, Your Lives
some semblance of Meaning.

NIGEL:
This is beyond insolence-

Buffy grabs The Sword from the table
and throws it across the room
in a single movement.
It flies point-first into the wall
directly in front of Nigel's nose.
He jumps back looking shocked.

BUFFY: (clears throat) I'm fairly certain I said no interruptions.

XANDER: (whispers) That was excellent! Willow and Tara grin.

BUFFY:
You're Watchers. Without a Slayer, you're pretty much just watchin' Masterpiece Theater.
You can't stop Glory. You can't do anything with the information you have except maybe publish it in the "Everyone Thinks We're Insane-O's Home Journal."

(Pauses, addresses Travers again)
So here's how it's gonna work.
You're gonna tell me everything you know.
Then you're gonna go away. (resumes pacing)
You'll contact me if and when you have
any further information about Glory.
The magic shop will remain open.
Mr. Giles will stay here as my official
Watcher, reinstated at full salary...

GILES: (coughing) Retroactive.

BUFFY:
...to be paid retroactively from the month
he was fired. I will continue my work
with the help of my friends...

 WATCHER2:
I, uh, I ... don't want a sword thrown at me, but,
but, civilians, I - we're talking about children.

BUFFY: (looks up at her friends on the balcony)
We're talking about two very powerful witches
and a thousand-year-old ex-demon.

ANYA: Willow's a demon?!

PHILIP: The boy? No power there.

BUFFY:
The boy has clocked more field time
than all of you combined.
He's part of the unit.

WILLOW: (whispers to Xander)
That's Riley-speak.

XANDER: (whispers back, with a big grin)
I've clocked field time.

BUFFY: Now. (addresses the Watchers) You all may be very good at your jobs.
The only way we're gonna find out is if you work with me.

You can all take your time thinking about that.
(turns back to Travers) But I want an answer
right now from Quinton, 'cause
I think he's understanding me.

TRAVERS:
(clears throat) Uh, your
terms are acceptable.

Giles smiles hugely. The Slayerettes burst into cheers
and applause, but quickly stop, looking embarrassed.
Buffy looks up at them, looks at Giles. She doesn't smile,
but looks satisfied. She sits across from Travers.

BUFFY:
See? No Begging.

TRAVERS: (nods)
Uh, Rupert.

GILES:
Quinton?

TRAVERS:
When we inventoried your shop, we found a bottle
of single malt scotch behind the, uh, incense holders.

GILES:
Well, it's, it's not, you know,
during working hours.

TRAVERS:
I think I could use a glass.

GILES:
Well, I suppose we could-
(starts to move away)

BUFFY: (gets up)
Just a minute. (Giles stops)
Glory. I wanna know.

TRAVERS:
Well, there's a lot to go through.

BUFFY:
Just tell me what kind
of Demon I'm fighting.

TRAVERS:
Well, that's The Thing, you see.
Glory isn't A Demon.

BUFFY:
What is She?

TRAVERS:
She's A God.

BUFFY:
(long pause, eyes widen)
-- Oh.

Blackout.

DIRTY

“In my experience, all The Perpetrators that I had, so
about 200 men, they were all repeating something.
They were all — because it was
so specific for each one….

You know, what They were putting out,
what they were Dumping on ME,
really, because The Abuse, The Sexual Abuse
is like An Exchange, An Energetic Exchange,
where they are momentarily freed from
The Burden that was put on their shoulders,
by handing ME The Shame and all the……
whatever it is, you know,
whatever Story goes with it.

And then I get to feel that I'm Bad
or I get to feel that I'm DIRTY, or
I get to feel that I'm worthless or
I get to feel that I'm Powerful —

Whatever it is, it's A Projection that comes with
The Abuse, that the energetic exchange that I feel,
comes from a very personal place in that person.

Q. : Do you think that kind of abuse,
what you went through, is
still going on today?

“Well, Why wouldn't it?”

Q. : ....You'd like to think that that
nowadays it's harder to get away
with those kinds of secret activities.

“Mhm. That's why
I think it's coming out —

But it's but there's nothing
that's happened to really stop it.

Q. : What kind of thing coming out?
Like Epstein, do you mean?

“Well, There's A Reason why
We don't get The List, isn’t there?

I mean, There's A Reason why
The Dutreaux case ended up being
just Marc Dutreaux —“

The DARK Truth About Why Epstein's Friends
Will NEVER Be EXPOSED – Annek...

In this sobering and thought-provoking continuation of her story, Anneke Lucas explores why so many people connected to powerful abuse cases are never publicly held to account — and why that outcome is not accidental, but structural. She reflects on how Power protects itself, how institutions manage reputational risk, and why the public so often ends up with simplified “lone villain” stories instead of deeper systemic truth.

   / @hereticsclips

Anneke is not naming names or making accusations. She is describing the mechanics of how silence is produced.

She explains how responsibility becomes diluted inside large systems. How accountability is passed sideways instead of downward. How complexity becomes an excuse for inaction. And how discomfort becomes a reason not to look.

The curiosity gap is unsettling: if so many people sense something is wrong, why does nothing seem to change? Why do revelations feel explosive for a moment — and then quietly disappear? And why do institutions appear to survive every scandal while individuals absorb the cost?

Anneke suggests it’s because truth alone is not enough.

Truth needs alignment — legal, institutional, cultural, and emotional — to move anything. Without that alignment, truth becomes noise. It circulates. It trends. It fades.

She explains how power doesn’t usually block truth directly. It overwhelms it. With procedure. With delays. With complexity. With “ongoing investigations.” With “no further comment.” With time.

And time, she argues, is one of the most effective tools of avoidance.

She also talks about the psychological burden placed on survivors — how they are expected to be consistent, calm, articulate, unemotional, and perfect in order to be believed, while institutions are allowed vagueness, opacity, and silence.

That asymmetry is what keeps the system stable.

Anneke connects this to her own healing process. How moving forward required accepting that justice is not always external. That answers do not always arrive. That closure is often something survivors have to build themselves.

This clip isn’t about scandal.

It’s about why scandal doesn’t work.

Why outrage fades.
Why institutions endure.
Why silence outlasts noise.
And why healing has to be internal before anything else is possible.

This is the second half of Anneke’s story — not about what happened, but about why so little changes… and what it takes to live anyway.

In my experience, all the perpetrators
that I had, so about 200 men, they were
all repeating something. They were all
because it was so specific for each one.
You know what they were putting out,
what they were dumping on me really
because the abuse, the sexual abuse is
like an exchange, an energetic exchange
where they are momentarily freed from
the burden that was put on their
shoulders by handing me the shame and
all the whatever it is, you know,
whatever story goes with it. And then I
get to feel that I'm bad or I get to
feel that I'm dirty or I get to feel
that I'm worthless or I get to feel that
I'm powerful. Whatever it is, it's a
projection that comes with the abuse
that the energetic exchange that I feel
comes from a very personal place in that
person.
Do you think that kind of abuse what you
went through is still going on today?
Well, why wouldn't it?
You'd like to think that that nowadays
uh it's harder to get away with those
kinds of secrets activities.
That's why I think it's coming out.
Mhm.
But it's but there's nothing that's
happened to really stop it.
What kind of thing coming out? Like
Epstein, do you mean?
Well, there's a reason why we don't get
the list, is there? I mean, there's a
reason why the Dutru case ended up being
just Mark Dutu imprisoned
and nobody ever named.
Um,
people have been named for years, you
know, but the most effective survivors
that named the most people were always
silenced. Um, I'm thinking of an
American survivor named Bryce Taylor
who wrote uh several books in the 80s
and 90s. She named everybody.
She just named everybody and nobody
knows who she is.
And people don't.
She's even been discredited within the
community of people that supposedly are
interested in this.
Well, I suppose there has to be even if
it's 0.001% of the people. Some of them
some people might imagine situations.
There might be some people do do you
think who might be fabricating things?
Well, if people are fabricating things,
then I think it often
Okay. Well, two things.
Sometimes I get people I don't
necessarily believe myself because I'm a
provider, right? So, I get people and
if I don't feel the motive or if I
suspect that the motive is a little off,
then I don't necessarily believe what
that person says,
the motive of the person coming to see
you.
Yes.
I said what
why they're naming famous perpetrators.
I see. I'm not necessarily believe what
they say, but I'm going to be present
for them all the same.
Whereas when it's a public affair and
somebody would somebody like that who
comes to a provider and just tries to
get something. So, so this so so already
you have to be pretty mentally ill to
make up a story and then go to a
provider and talk about these things. So
then that mentally ill person is coming
to one person because they want me to
think that they're very special or they
want me to think something. They want
something from me.
Now that person would never go public.
So when someone does that publicly,
I think that somebody that it is on
purpose
for to create a disinformation situation
where somebody is either unbelievable or
somebody is purposely lying to create
the the doubt
on purpose from the people that are
still trying to control everything.
So they'll come out and say something
ridiculous so that everybody says, "Oh
god, all of this is nonsense."
There you go.
You've got this book out. What's it
called and what's it about?
Well, my book is a memoir and it's
called Quest for Love and Memoir of a
Child Sex Slave.
And um it is as I said about the last
year of um
nu time in inside the network and and I
want to say that I identify if I
identify as anything it's as a writer
and maybe it would have been nice to
write about lovely things and make up
nice stories and everything but so I
write about my own experience and um
hopefully it can bring you into this
theme
where however difficult it is, there's
also you you can feel supported as you
read it. hopefully that you know that
you're being taken to a place that at
least you can handle, you know, and
obviously you have to choose yourself if
you can't handle it, but that at least
there's psychological support for you to
get through it without being
um you know, things being thrown at
Thank you.
