Aboard the Covenant, Daniels goes about her daily routine — relaxing in her quarters, eating breakfast (and complaining about the bland oatmeal on offer) and playing poker with Tennessee, Faris and Ledward. When MU-TH-UR suddenly falls silent during their game, Daniels realises something is wrong. Learning that a Praetomorph is aboard the vessel, she has the computer seal all of the ship's internal doors, rushes to the armory to retrieve a shotgun, stocks up on essential medical supplies, and goes to hunt the creature down. Asking MU-TH-UR where it is located, the computer informs Daniels that the Praetomorph is "four meters above you". 

At that moment, the creature emerges from an overhead conduit and Daniels takes aim.

The video was originally released on May 5, 2017 through YouTube,[2] as part of the viral marketing campaign for Alien: Covenant.

Behind the scenes

The video is notable in that (unlike the majority of the promotional short films created for Alien: Covenant) the events it depicts are incongruous with the film, and thus it clearly cannot exist within the same continuity — aside from the fact Daniels' actions in combating the Praetomorph aboard the Covenant differ from those seen in the movie, it also features the characters Faris and Ledward, both of whom die on Planet 4 long before a Praetomorph gets loose aboard the colony ship. In this respect, it is similar to the promotional tie-in Alien: Covenant x Audi lunar quattro, which likewise depicts events that contradict the continuity of the feature film.
