Joseph of Arimathea.
A robber and a thief in the night.
Arimathea does not exist.
This is some kind of code.
It's actually Flavius Josephus, the courtly Jew historian of the Flavian Roman Emperors who wrote The History of the Jewish Revolt.
The Gospels are an allegorical history of the Jewish revolt, intended to create a passive, peaceful and counter-revolutionary pro-Roman synthetic form of Judaism.
Christ instructed Jews to pay their taxes.
28 Later, knowing that all was now completed, and so that the Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, "I am thirsty."
29 A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus' lips.
John 19:28-29
That's the Mickey Finn.
